JUAN GARCIA

Pastor of Hispanic Ministry

Pastor Juan Garcia was born on October 6, 1973 in Mexico City. He is the only son of a single mother. His mother met the Lord at an early age and taught him about faith in God.

Since a small child he attended church and was one of the most restless and untidy children. Juan a young man he served as leader, coordinator, preacher and in missions at the Horeb Baptist Church in Mexico City.

Missions was one of the favorite activities, resulting in the founding of the San Pablo Atlazalpan Church, in the state of Mexico (it is a church that still exists). It was during this time that God called him to serve, but he decided to leave it for later.

At age 24 he met Judith and they decided to get married. One year later, Arantza would be born (his oldest daughter). With her came a big challenge, since they decided to go and live in Hawaii for academic reasons. Juan and his family attended church at this paradise-like setting where God reminded him once again about his calling.

Juan decided to obey the call of God and changed his residence to the city of Hermosillo, Sonora to study in a Biblical seminary. In his last year of preparation, God showed him the great need to preach to the Hispanic community in the United States.

In 2004, Juan and his family decided to move to Arizona, accepting the invitation of an American church to begin a Hispanic ministry.

One year later, their second daughter would be born, whose name is Carla.

Judith Perez de Garcia has a bachelors degree in Accounting from the Universidad Nacional Autanoma de Mexico in Mexico City. Later she obtained a bachelors degree in Bible at Hermosillo, Sonora. At present she is studying for her masters in Education at the International Baptist Collegein Phoenix. Juan has his bachelors degree in Bible and continues his studies by mail with the Institute of Biblical Education.

At present, Juan is the pastor of the Hispanic Ministries at FBC Prescott.
