David and Barbara have been married 23 years. Barbara also grew up in Portland. She holds a double major, graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Communication and Psychology from Lewis and Clark College. The Knight family was called to Prescott First Baptist in 2002.

David and Barbara have four children - Samantha Horvath (she and Andrew were married in the summer of 2007), Marcus, Jonathan, and Matthew. Barbara is also the church nursery coordinator. David and Barbara both enjoy music, movies, reading, and turtles (well, David enjoys turtles, Barb likes sewing).
