From the Hagquists (June 2008) ...Hope Mountain is now incorporated with the Republic of Philippines Securities & Exchange Commission as Hope Mountain Mindanao, Inc.! This was a critical step in moving forward with the development of this center for transformational ministries.

In May we were able to travel into the interior of North Cotabato with a group of business people from a church in the U.S., helping in the area of community development. Praise the Lord for a safe and profitable trip.

On May 30, eleven tribal pastors graduated from a ten-month course of transformational training at Hope Mountain. These pastors serve in remote parts of Mindanao, and some in very dangerous areas. Also, one of our Hope Mountain young staff members completed an 8-month course in Bible and Agriculture. He will be overseeing our milk goat and rabbit ministry.

Pray for the continued development of Hope Mountain and the newly elected board of directors. Gloria has been designated as the manager of Hope Mountain.

Also, pray for two young ladies who will be arriving here on June 10 for a six-week internship. They will be working with a local church helping to develop the youth and children's ministries. Pray also for our short-term missions program. We will have two teachers from Faith Academy in Manila arriving for a one-week missions exposure. In July we have a short-term team from Manzanita Baptist Church in Kingman, Arizona, arriving for two weeks to do teaching in the area of children's ministries and evangelism.

Our schedule is incredibly busy at this time. Pray for our safety, wisdom and the strength to do all that needs to be done. Pray that God will be glorified through the ministry here. Thank you for your faithful prayers and encouragement!
