May 22, 2008 - Prayer Update from the Newkirks...

"Several people have asked us, "When are you going home?" That is a tricky question to answer. We had to ask another question, "which home?" Honestly, we feel at home in Arizona and Senegal. We will take time to go camping with the Newkirk side of our family and will also visit Laura's sister's family in Lake Tahoe.

So, when are we going home? Lord willing, we will leave for Senegal on July 9. We say "Lord willing" because really, it is all dependent on the Lord. We still need to raise more support due to the weak dollar and world inflation.

We can't believe how fast this year has gone. We have been blessed beyond description by God's people. What a joy it has been to share our burden for the Senegaleses with you. Thank you for joining us by praying that God would build His church among the Wolof speaking people in Dakar. We can hardly wait to go back and get started on planting a church. We are refreshed and have a renewed vision. We serve a powerful God and He loves His people.
