Chris grew up in the Los Angeles area before attending the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where he graduated with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in political science in 1988. He then attended the Univrsity of California, Davis School of Law, where he received a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree in 1991. He passed the Oregon State Bar exam and is currently an inactive member with that organization. He then received the Master of Divinity Degree from Multnomah Biblical Seminary in 1998. At graduation he was honored to receive the B.B. Sutcliffe Award for Excellence in Expository Preaching. Chris loves hiking, biking, playing chess, running and sports (Michigan football and Dodger baseball). He collects coins and enjoys collecting and writing with fountain pens.

Chris and Lisa have been amrried for over eleven years. Lisa grew up in Davis, Caloifornia, before attending the University of Oregon, where she graduated with honors with a Bachelors of Science Degree in accounting in 1995. She then worked for the Portland office of the Big-Six accounting firm Deloitte & Touche as an auditor for three years. Lisa played the flute for the University of Oregon marching band, swam on her high school swim team, climbed Mt. Whitney while in high school and loves hiking and biking. Prior to attending the University of Oregon, Lisa lived for the summer in Spain.

Prior to coming to First Baptist Church of Prescott, Chris served as Senior Pastor at Seaside First Baptist Church from June 2000 through October 2007. Before that, he served as a youth pastor for nine years at three churches in California and Oregon. Both Chris and Lisa have enjoyed taking youth on short-term cross cultural mission trips to Mexico, with Chris leading eight trips and Lisa serving on five trips. Their years of ministry together have confirmed that Chris and Lisa love people. In addition, Chris cherishes the opportunity to study and teach the Bible in ways that are practical and relevant to people's lives, while providing listeners with a biblical worldview to help them navigate through life.

The joy of Chris and Lisa's lives are their children, Jenna, Joshua and Caleb. They are excited about living in Prescott, and look forward to many years of ministry at First Baptist Church of Prescott.

As pastor of First Baptist Church of Prescott, Chris seeks to focus his time in five key areas:

*To live a life that demonstrates his love for God, especially as a godly husband, father and pastor.

*To maintain a standards of excellence in the study and teaching of God's Word.

*To lead the church with passion towards becoming a house of prayer.

*To develop the next generation of leadership.

*To mobilize the people of First Baptist Church of Prescott towards becoming fully devoted followers of Christ who impact the kingdom of God locally and throughout the world.
