Senior Adult Ministries...

Our mature adult years should be the best and most fulfilled years of our lives! Our Senior Adult ministry is creating a fundamental change in mature adult ministry. We want to "Enhance the Quality of Life" for all 55+ adults in our church and community.

This paradigm shift adds to the "Care Giving" ministry of the past to aid every individual in achieving his or her fullest potential as a person responsible to God and to our fellow man.

The Foundation of any ministry is its spiritual core values. God's Word, the Bible, is the source for our core values. The following values form the foundation for Senior Adult's.

Traditional Mature Adult Services

Nursing home

A ministry of visitation and support for seniors in Assisted Living and Nursing Home facilities.

Homebound

A ministry that provides support for shut-ins and semi-shut-ins and their caregivers.

Widowed and Singles

Provides services for older single adults adjusting to being single again for widows and widowers.

Emergency Care

A trained team that responds to emergency medical situations in order to provide spiritual support.

Bereavement

A trained team that provides assistance to the terminally ill and immediate support to the family at the time of death.

Senior Activities

Our Senior Adult Christian ministry that encourages adults 55 + to learn from yesterday, live for today, and hope for tomorrow!

This ministry provides a balanced schedule that challenges the total person to grow in maturity in the Lord--spiritually, socially, emotionally, and physically.

Senior Adult helps develop the mature adult as a role model for younger adults and provide opportunities for the mature adult to minister to the special needs of younger generations.

Expanded Ministries of Senior Adult

Mentoring

Providing one-on-one discipleship relationships dealing with long and short-term needs of men, women, couples, and in cross-generational situations.

Mature Adult Fitness and Recreation

Ministries that promote sound exercise, fitness, and diet plus recreational programs.

Home Repairs

Provides maintenance and repairs for widowed, frail and single parent members of our congregation.

Senior Adventures

Provides special travel events for older adults including local events, day-excursions, and longer overnight adventure trips.

Advocacy/Consulting

Provides information, resources, and advocacy when an Senior Adult or their family needs help dealing with insurance or governmental agencies.

Senior Adult Missions

Provides participation in outreach ministry projects and community service projects and short term mission trips.

Monthly social events that provide a variety of venues serving the social, spiritual, and educational needs of our Senior Adults.
